(Verse 1)
The sky was bleak and gray on the hill that day.
Nature's awesome force was on display.
The darkest day of man fulfilling God's plan;
Carried out so Christ could show the way.
The forces of damnation yet struggling to gain their pow'r
Were no match for my slain Savior
In His darkest hour. The battle had begun,
Blotting out the sun Jesus said,
"Now it is finished. Let His will be done..."
(Verse 2)
"Last night He talked to me, while in Gethsemane,
'You are the Chosen One, the Redeemer,
My Sacrifice for the Prophecy. You'll suffer pain and
Loss, while hanging from a cross. Yet, You'll
Rise up in vict'ry defeating death most triumphantly.
Jesus, You'll not be forsaken. You'll be the Ruler
Of the Earth. And through Your Love, Man will bow
Before You and he will see his worth.'
"Now I'll be going home, My Father's calling me.
I've paid the price for sin here on Calv'ry,
His Voice to Me is a rhapsody.
Yes, I'll ve going home, the angels beckon Me...
To My Father in Heaven, My Life on
Earth has been a victory.
Now I'll be going home. My work on Earth is done.
Father, for the believer,
life is through the Son..."
