In the wine and the bread
We remember the day
That Jesus died to take our sin away,
Hung up on a cross
For the world to see
But it should have been you

The wine is his blood
Like a river that flowed
As He died on the cross
And as He carried our load
To purchase forgiveness
Amazing but true
He did it for me
Did it for you

This bread is His body
So broken and bruised
Betrayed and rejected
Despised and abused
We eat it together
To hunger no more
For He is the bread of life

We get so busy
As we live for each day
